Thomas Christie’s blog is one of the most exciting things I have read online. It is almost refreshingly honest with amazing taste. Definitely marking this one in favorites.

Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 2011

In Uncategorized on February 9, 2011 at 11:42 pm

To put it simply, Shutting. It. Down.

Once again Givenchy has come out on top when it comes to the Haute Couture collections. Whilst Chanel, Armani and Dior all have some gorgeous gowns, I feel that all the other shows are losing focus on true Haute Couture. Givenchy produced only 11 gowns for the show. But these 11 dresses are some of the most spectacular craftsmanship in the business. Each dress is trully haute couture all entirely handmade with breathtaking detail and over 1000s hour poured into creating some. Where as the other designers produce 40+ looks and to me Haute Couture should be about quality and not quantity.
