Elke Kramer

The first time I became aware of Elke Kramer was in about 2006, where she was creating these quirky necklaces that were out of my budget range as a grade 9 student. Since then she has gone on to collaborate with nationwide chain- Sportgirl and as of today, 20 June 2011 she will launch her online store.  I am sure the store will open any minute now, sign up ASAP to get 10% off in the first week.

The Stylists Apprentice

In Uncategorized on June 15, 2011 at 9:15 pm

Last Wednesday night I had the pleasure of attending the finale of”the Stylists Apprentice” competition at Enoteca (an amazing bar near the Gabba). The competition was run by Westfield Garden City to find the most talented young stylist. Congratulations to Alice Waugh(pictured centre) who won the competition and who will now be working with Westfield Garden City’s style team. From the entry she submitted for her final portfolio I have no doubt she is a very talented stylist (pictured below). Westfield Garden City offers a range of style services including one on one personal styling and group styling, to book your appointment head to the Westfield Garden City website.

Art Of the Trench

In Uncategorized on June 8, 2011 at 9:55 pm

Sorry about the lack of posts lately! It that time of the semester when uni just wins over everything else.

Art of the trench is a new website launched by Burberry in collaboration with Scott Schumann, aka THE Sartorialist. The website celebrates Burberry’s most iconic garment, the trench coat. The trench coat was first designed in 1914 for the War Office for soldiers to wear in “the trenches.” Since then it has become a classic and has only grown in popularity. The website is a place where you can upload your own pictures of you wearing your trench.

You can also look forward to Burberry launching their Burberry Bespoke webstie where you will be able to chose from 12 million different options to design your own trench.
